My Story

I have a deep passion for helping others to not just live, but THRIVE. I bring my sense of humor and adventure to every class and training session, and help a wide variety of clients reach their fitness goals.

My own journey to fitness is not a typical one: I was a sedentary kid who was introduced to exercise in my adult life, and it changed the way I saw myself and my ability to face hard things. I used to say “no” a lot — no I don’t run, no I don’t play sports, etc. — and now I say “I’ll try,” because there is little we cannot accomplish if we are willing to keep showing up. I now know firsthand that it is never too late to try something new, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients surprise themselves with what they can accomplish, too. 🙂

I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2005, and a Certified PWR!Moves Instructor (Parkinson’s-specific rehabilitation exercise) about ten years later. Working with individuals living with Parkinson’s has been transformative for me both personally and professionally — I have never met a more resilient group of people, and the tenacity, humility and determination I witness daily with my clients makes me love this job so so much.

Personally, I am now a lover of swimming, SUP, running, cycling, hiking, yoga, and roller skating — if it is outdoors in the sunshine, I’m there! And that is why I train my own body — because life is so much more fun when I have the ability to say YES to the next adventure.

Our mindset is our secret weapon of power and strength. We can accomplish anything if we believe it is possible.
