A nerd.

I confess: I’m a total fitness nerd. I just LOVE working with clients who have neuro conditions (Parkinson’s, dementia, stroke, brain injury), autoimmune issues, old/new injuries, and other complex situations that allow me to use every morsel of my expertise and creativity.

Most of us need ongoing training after physical therapy ends: that’s where I come in. I’ll coordinate with your therapists for an easy transition, keep you consistent with your home exercise, and help you continue to improve.

A unicorn.

I firmly believe that therapeutic exercise CAN and SHOULD be fun, especially if you have a chronic condition that requires you stay committed to regular exercise in order to maintain your quality of life. Just because it is necessary, that doesn’t mean it can’t also be awesome, right?

So I’ll be bringing a big ol’ dose of JOY to our training sessions, that I can promise. :)

A realist.

I’m not going to give you advice you cannot follow, prescribe crash diets you’ll hate, or lead you through extreme workouts that feel like torture. When your workouts give you JOY, and your fitness plan compliments your life, you are WAY more likely to succeed.

So I’ll teach you how your body actually works, how exercise can be your toolkit for feeling your best, how to stay motivated, and how avoid injury. No gimmicks, just facts.



 

Virtual training

I offer virtual personal training sessions, which means you can work out with me from just about anywhere! All you need is a computer or mobile device with internet access, and a free account on the ZOOM app. (Not computer-savvy? Don’t worry! I’ll walk you through the simple steps.)

Learn how to use the resources available to you - like your own body weight, common household items, or home exercise equipment - to get a GREAT workout, without the gym. Feeling your best has never been more convenient!

 

In-Person training

I offer training in-home and/or outdoors in Long Beach, CA, and the location depends on your needs/goals and which setting is most motivating to you.

Training for a specific adventure? Let’s use our sessions to prepare your body for the conditions you’ll experience. Struggling with mobility at home? Let’s troubleshoot those situations and find practical solutions that work for you.
